Dr. John A. Matlock

Dr. John Matlock is the founder of The Matlock Center and a Chiropractor with experience in general wellness care, pain management, spinal decompression therapy, as well as orthopedic injury and postural rehabilitation. He obtained his doctorate degree from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York, where he was consecutively named to the Dean’s List. Since opening the original practice (Matlock Family Chiropractic and Wellness) in 2011, he has been instrumental in The Matlock Centers dynamic growth and expansion.
Beyond his academic studies, Dr. Matlock played multiple sports throughout his life, including: Soccer, Baseball, Swim Team, and Semi-Pro Football. Dr. Matlock also sponsors a team in and plays for the Lopatcong Men’s Summer Softball League.
Dr. Matlocks love for sports has allowed him to work alongside both competitive and recreational athletes alike. He enjoys helping athletes by minimizing injury and achieving optimal performance both on and off the field. Dr. Matlock has also had the amazing opportunity to work with a handful of famous musicians/groups and has even gone "On Tour" with a well known heavy metal band as the "Band Chiropractor and Rehab Specialist". Dr. John (as his patients refer to him) is always looking for unique opportunities to help people experience the benefits of Chiropractic care.
In addition to his emphasis on patient care, Dr. Matlock has always been active in his local community. He is currently a Master Free Mason out of Mansfield F&AM Lodge #36 and is also a life member of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Dr. John was born and raised just outside of Stewartsville, in the small town of New Village. He is married to the lovely Dr. Rebecca (Bates) Matlock, co-founder of The Matlock Center and combined they have 4 children. He is also a Pink Floyd fan, enjoys tinkering and carpentry, and loves spending time with his family.
